Artha's Documentation, Inside Your Assistant

A second MCP server, this one over what Artha publishes: the financial glossary, the explainer wiki, and published research. It needs no account and it reaches no user data.

Three steps

Quick Start

  1. Copy the endpoint above.
  2. Add it to your assistant as a custom connector. In Claude that is Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in Cursor it is Settings → MCP → Add server.
  3. There is no sign-in step. Ask a question, for example “What does Artha’s glossary say about STT?”

One tool

What It Returns

The server exposes one tool, search_artha_docs. It answers with titles, links and quoted fragments, so the assistant can cite the passage it used instead of recalling one.

The financial glossary
Indian market terms, defined in the way they are used here rather than in the way a US textbook uses them.
The explainer wiki
Longer answers to one question each: how the bhavcopy works, why two sources disagree on a market cap, what an option chain is saying.
Published research
Artha’s own published notes, in full text.

Boundaries

What It Cannot Reach

  • No portfolio, no watchlist, no alert, and no user record of any kind. It has no way to ask for one.
  • No writes. It searches published documents and returns them.
  • No prices. It holds documentation, not market data. For figures, use the MCP server over your own account.

Questions

Common Questions

Does it cost anything?
No. There is no account, no key, and no rate card.
Why is this separate from the MCP server?
That one reaches your own account and asks for your approval first. This one is public. Keeping them apart means the public server has no path to user data at all, rather than a rule saying it must not use one.
Will the assistant quote it accurately?
The tool returns the fragment and the link together, so you can open the source and check. An assistant that answers from memory gives you neither.

Something not working? A tool that answered wrongly, a client that will not connect, or a step above that does not match what you see.
